Apu’s World is an immersive media artwork that combines AI‑expanded cinema with static installation to reactivate public memory drawn from Apu’s textual and pictorial archives. Framed as an embodied archival narrative, the work uses computational methods to make memory visible, walkable, and tangible. Abstract cues from the archive are transformed into monochrome audiovisual rhythms and spatial waypoints that guide audiences through environments where clarity and ambiguity alternate.

Four key moments in Apu’s life are materialized as tactile “memory carriers” generated through AIGC and 3D printing, extending the moving‑image experience into sculptural form and linking dynamic media with physical residue. The project establishes a reusable pipeline encompassing data preprocessing, diffusion‑based video synthesis, spatialized sound, and digital fabrication. The paper makes two contributions: first, it proposes an immersive method showing how AI can bring significant historical voices back into public view through multimodal narrative space; second, it introduces a framework that connects computational media with material artifacts while critically addressing provenance transparency and design choices within such processes.
