Threshold Perception

#Artificial Intelligence # Expanded Cinema

Sensory overload—also termed sensory hyperarousal or hypersensitivity—is a common phenomenon among neurodivergent populations. Threshold Perception is an immersive multisensory installation that utilizes technology-mediated bodily experiences to simulate the sensory inundation encountered by individuals with neurodevelopmental differences (e.g., ASD, ADHD) in daily life.

The work employs audiovisual stimuli to reconstruct autistic sensory perceptions, offering neurotypical audiences an empirical framework to comprehend divergent cognitive modalities.
